Ambulance workers are eligible to sign up for the Blue Light Card, giving them access to exclusive discounts across a wide range of high street and online retailers. This includes savings on groceries, clothing, travel, electronics, entertainment and much more. Blue Light Card is available to paramedics, ambulance technicians, emergency care assistants, call handlers and support staff; acknowledging the critical role they play in responding to emergencies and providing lifesaving care under pressure.

Each offer description will state the type of offer, e.g. high street offer or online offer. Refer to the individual offer page and it's terms and conditions for more information on how the offer needs to be redeemed.
The quickest and easiest way to confirm your eligibility is adding and verifying your Ambulance, NHS, St John Ambulance or St Andrew's Ambulance work email address during the application. If this doesn't work, we'll need to see one of the below matching the name on your Blue Light Card account:

Estimated potential annual savings figure is calculated using our top 10% of offers available during September 2024 to August 2025 using an average combined discount rate of 22% across all our savings categories and applying it against the average disposable income of an average Blue Light Card member based on salary. Average salary information from a range of sources available upon request. Average disposable income based on Office of National Statistics data from April 2023 to March 2024 (FYE 2024) for family spending in the UK, excluding categories of spend where no Blue Light Card offers are available.

Reasons why your ID might be declined:
If you've uploaded a photo of your work ID, we aim to have reviewed this within 72 working hours (Monday-Friday), but often sooner.
Once we've reviewed the ID, you'll receive an email to confirm if the work ID has been approved or declined.
If you've not received an email or any update to your application, please check the My Card section of your account for the latest update on your application and any outstanding actions that you need to take.
Once your application has been completed, you will be able to access offers the following day.
Make sure you select 'Retired Frontline Ambulance Staff' from the trust/division list when signing up. Find out more information about ID to be provided here.
If you have retired since you first signed up and are renewing your card, you'll be able to update your employment details as the first stage of renewing your card.
If so, you would be eligible for a Blue Light Card! For us to be able to approve your card application, we can only a Blue Light Card branded letter from BT999 that shows your name and that you are a BT999 Call Handler. (Please note - the letter will be provided to you by your employer. Do not upload your ID card or payslip as this will not be accepted).
You can present your digital card in high street stores to use our offers however, it is to the company's discretion if they wish to see a physical Blue Light Card instead.
